Random Motivational Quotes
Carl Jung
"Jung emphasized the importance of balance and
harmony. He cautioned that modern people rely too heavily on
science and logic and would benefit from integrating spirituality
and appreciation of unconscious realms. He considered the process
of individuation necessary for a person to become whole. This is a
psychological process of integrating the conscious with the
unconscious while still maintaining conscious autonomy.
Individuation was the central concept of Analytical
Psychology." (I think sometimes he was talking directly to
me. Perhaps I need to concentrate on the whole world so to speak
not just the physical one.)
Fyodor Dostoyevsky
“If God does not exist, then everything is
permitted” Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Strangely enough his brutal
imprisonment at the hands of the czar caused a return to
conservatism and a return to the Russian orthodox church. He must
have realized that ideology with no spiritual underpinning is
simply not enough to sustain a man. It's interesting that both men
whom I greatly respect would arrive at basically the same
conclusions. Of course this plays out in our everyday lives, The
intellegent man is not necessarily wise and the wise man is not
necessarily intellegent. The truly well balanced individual
combines the two in perfect harmony.
Bill Hicks
Today a young man on acid realized that all
matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are
all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no
such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the
imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.
Jimi Hendrix
“I used to live in a room full of mirrors, all
I could see was me, I took my spirit and I smashed the mirrors, now
the whole world is here for me to see”, Jimi Hendrix. (Damn
what can I say Jimi was a deep dude, I guess he just let the
frusteration get to him and the hypocracy of living in a cruel
cruel world. I wish he had of lived he had great stuff to come I am
sure. Damn Shame it is!)
REST IN PEACE JIMI
Gautama Buddha
Do not believe in anything simply because you
have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is
spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply
because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe
in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do
not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for
many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find
that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and
benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to
it.
