He must have realized that ideology with no spiritual underpinning is simply not enough to sustain a man. It's interesting that both men whom I greatly respect would arrive at basically the same conclusions. Of course this plays out in our everyday lives, The intellegent man is not necessarily wise and the wise man is not necessarily intellegent. The truly well balanced individual combines the two in perfect harmony.
